Update: City to Bay Fun Run 2009

Today marks the second day of my 2 weeks holiday here in Adelaide !

Yesterday evening, a friend of mine ( Xiao Wen) texted me asking if I was on front page of The Advertiser. Well, since it was raining and it's a holiday , I didn't bother to leave home to get the newspaper. So, today after doing some stocking up with my housemates at Coles , we got Monday's and today's The Advertiser newspaper from our friendly Newsagency at Hutt St .

It was awesome to be part of this run, as there were about 29 thousand participants that Sunday morning that turned up for the run.

Can you imagine how big the event is?
Along the 12km stretch of road , there were cheer leaders to kick in some enthusiasm, live music bands, some independant musical acts , lil kids smiling away accompanied by their pet dogs, photographers, as well as free sunscreen lotions and icy cold water to rehydrate us runners, and participants with disabilities.

Amazing, amazing simply amazing.
I never thought I could finish this race at all, with 2 blisters on my heels and the lack of training.
But hey, I prayed that these blisters will not hurt me whilst I run , and true enough, God answered my prayer. Wooohoo ! God is great , remember that !

Now for the moment we've been waiting ... ...

Hoorayy ! I managed to complete it in 1 hour , 17 minutes and 36 seconds :)
That's a record fellas, never have I ran thus far.

Last but not least, I would like to thank my hommie ( Wei Qin) and Mao for training me up. You know , these 2 gals are my sifu . Week after week, we've been training for this run, 3 times a week tau !
Not forgetting Cheryl Ho, my chirpy friend who ran together-getha with me during the City to Bay Fun Run. it was so much running with this gal, we motivated one another to keep runnning, if not slow jog throughout the race, but of course slowing down at 3 stops to rehydrate ourselves with cups of icy cold water and a few good slabs of free sunblock lotions .
And yeah, mi mommy who cooked yummiieee food for mi these 2 weeks.

Yahooo ! God is indeed good, wait .. that's not right. He's far more better than that.
My God is not just a good God, He knows my every need :)
